Method applicability:This is an UPLC-UVmethod for detection and quantification of the six major kavalactones (kavain, dihydrokavain, methysticin, dihydromethysticin, yangonin and desmethoxyyangonin) and three flavokavains (flavokavain A, flavokavain B, and flavokavain) C in kava raw materials (Piper methysticum Forst. F.), dietary ingredients and dietary supplement products. The method is applicable for analysis in the following matrixes: Piper methysticum roots, Tincture, Liquid phytocaps, capsules.
