95 TH PGA CHAMPIONSHIP COMMUNITY RELATIONS PROGRAM
T he PGA of America is more than pleased that its signature event, the PGA Championship, has returned to fabled Oak Hill Country Club, site of the 1980 PGA Championship, 1995 Ryder Cup, 2003 PGA Championship and the 2008 Senior PGA Championship. We are equally proud that our Championships have positively impacted the Rochester area and that their impact will continue to be felt far beyond the golf course. The 2013 PGA Championship Community Relations program at Oak Hill Country Club is structured to enhance and expand relationships with the 501c3 charitable organizations that participated in the 2003 PGA Championship and the 2008 Senior PGA Championship Community Relations programs. We are proud that more than 100 charities will participate and benefit from the 2013 PGA Championship Community Relations program. All told, over the 10-year period since the 2003 PGA Championship, these events will have generated approximately $1.28 million in financial support for some 192 charities. In addition, our community support has expanded to include a scholarship program, and the PGA Habitat Build project. Congratulations to all the charities and their supporters for your continued dedication to enhance the lives of the people you serve in the areas of education, health and wellness, youth and family enrichment programs. Truly, you are making a dierence! The PGA of America is proud to give you this special tribute on these pages.
