HAMEL, MINN.: JULY 5-8 The Hamel Rodeo &Bull Ridin’ Bonanza is offering big incentives. The committee will pay the entry fees (including office charges) for all bareback riders and saddle bronc riders who enter and compete (not paid if they turn out); a $500 cash bonus will be paid to the high-marked bull ride each of the five performances, totaling $2,500; there will be a $500 challenge bull every performance; $5,000 added money Permit Section bull riding, with those entered also eligible to enter the regular bull riding. Also, tie-down roping and steer wrestling will return to two go-rounds, whileThursday morning slack time for timed events has been moved to 10 a.m. to allow extra travel time for the Fourth of July run. Contestants must enter all three

rodeos. No turn-outs (doctor-releases accepted). A points system given from each rodeo determines the winners at the end of the tour, eliminating unfairness with total money won since each event differs with entry fees. Contestants have first choice of prize in order of rank.
