and pipe industry enjoy the benefits of induction heating, and we’re looking forward to meeting with additional organizations and showing them how they can also benefit. We’re particularly excited to discuss our latest, even more powerful EKOHEAT systems.”

aerospace industry, particularly for jet engines. Fontijne Grotnes Expanders are commonplace in the forging industry for sizing rings of all sizes and materials. The Expanders of Fontijne Grotnes are used to calibrate the ring in order to minimize machining allowances and to eliminate local stresses This greatly reduces the required amount of machining as the ring is closer to its final shape and more stable during post operations. Other benefits of the Fontijne Grotnes Expander in the ring rolling process are: Faster production process, considerable material savings, improvement of the mechanical properties of the material, achieving very tight inside diameter and ovality tolerances. The dies itself are easily interchangeable, which makes it possible to calibrate a wide range of rings, with both rectangular or profiled cross sections, using only one machine. For rings with a heavy cross section of a very high yield point, water cooled dies are available for hot sizing. INDUSTRIAL Magnetics Inc patented family of Transporter ® magnetic end- of-arm tooling will be on full display at FabTech. Transporters ® magnetically transfer metal blanks, stampings & parts in automated station-to-station, press- to-press transfer or robotic pick-and- place applications, among many others. Engineered with powerful Rare Earth magnets that positively hold the part during transfer-even during unexpected loss of shop air - the Transporter ® family greatly reduces chances for slipping and shifting of parts due to mill oil coatings, dust, dirt, rust or weld splatter. The Original Transporter ® is designed for use on heavier gauge, non-flexing parts, and uses a single burst of shop air to actuate the magnet on and off; it is available in three standard sizes with holding capacities up to 670lbs. The Transporter ® LP allows for minimal die clearance and can be easily installed to existing air connections on tooling booms or robotic face plates. Transporter ® LP magnets are designed to directly replace vacuum cups with only minor tooling adjustments. Ideal for applications in theAppliance, Automotive, and Office Furniture industries, as well as numerous other material handling www.fontijnegrotnes.com Industrial Magnetics Inc USA Booth 1526

Fontijne Grotnes has developed an uncommon approach to metalforming as an alternative to conventional techniques and practices for forming or sizing hollow geometric shapes. There are two key factors to this approach: the use of hollow cylindrical blanks and the subsequent forming processes to shape the blanks. Expanders, Shrinkers and Rollformers are a valuable contribution to diverse production processes, which require tight tolerances. Fontijne Grotnes Expanders size and/or form a wide range of hollow components having a continuous cross-section, such as cylinders, cones, squares and polysided shapes. Fontijne Grotnes Expanders, Shrinkers and Rollformers are widely used to form finely detailed profiles in cylindrical or conical shaped blanks from tubing, pipe or coiled and welded sheet metal. Rollformers can be used when fine detail and a good surface quality are required. Shrinkers are used when an accurate outer diameter is required. This process is exactly the opposite of the expanding. Fontijne Grotnes offers Expanders, Shrinkers, and Rollformers to various industries: the aerospace industry for sizing rings in jet engines; the wind turbine industry for sizing seamless rolled rings for manufacturing of bearings and flanges; the automotive industry for gear rings; production lines for the inner housings of dishwashers; and other sizing technologies. Forged rings, both seamless rolled rings and flash butt welded rings, are commonly applied in for example the Fontijne Grotnes machines make hollow geometric shapes

applications, the Transporter ® LP is next- generation sheet handling technology. It only requires a short, single burst of shop air to quickly release parts, is available in three standard sizes with the strongest unit holding up to 162 lbs. Included in the LP line is the TPLP50. A 5", low profile Transporter that is ideal for lifting thin sheets. It is also available with a Destacking Option that features a special magnetic circuit, designed to destack metal sheets as thin at 0.030" (22 gauge) The latest addition to the Transporter ® family is the Transporter ® MV (MagVac) end-of-arm tooling from IMI, combining vacuum and magnet technology to lift and hold all shapes and types of steel in stamping, blanking, and press-to-press transfer applications. The Transporter ® MV is ideal for facilities with mixed-use metals, where the magnet can be utilized in conjunction with the vacuum for ferrous parts and the vacuum can work on non-ferrous materials, eliminating downtime for tooling changes. This product comes in six standard sizes Every Transporter ® product provides more options for pick-up points on stamped, perforated and odd-shaped parts, and a significant reduction over vacuum and suction cups in shop air costs. In addition, all Transporters ® offers more accurate placement on the die and quicker cycle times for increased production. Each is million-cycle-tested for endurance and incorporates a fail- safe feature that, in the event of air loss, prevents the magnet from releasing ferrous parts. IMI specializes in custom designs, providing Transporter ® product for coil lifting, banded material handling and other challenging applications. A full line of accessories and fittings are available, and standard list prices range from $304-$1214 per unit. www.magnetics.com
