Простота, граничащая с минимализмом, и белизна на грани стерильности – все, как в первых фильмах о космических кораблях, жизнь на которых представлялась мало возможной. Такой облик дома словно уравновешивает бурный темперамент активных городских жителей и в то же время свидетельствует, что в нем живут креативные, современные люди. Жена мистера Алана – дизайнер и иллюст- ратор, три дочери, каждая из которых принадлежит своей культуре. Этот дом для людей с разными вкусами стал своего рода визуальным компромиссом между предпочтениями каждого, выражая идею нейтральной территории, готовой принять в свои стены любую инновацию. Сегодня у современного человека другие представления об уюте: холодный футурис- тичный интерьер - формула совершенной оболочки, в которой городской житель чувс- твует простор для творчества. В этой воздушной среде есть свобода не только телу, но и вдохновению. Архитектор предоставил обитателям все возможности для воплощения творческих амбиций. В планах семьи Аланов украсить стены графическим рисунком, а пока они еще хранят белизну, символизируя красоту «чистой» архитектуры, подобной античным храмам Акрополя.

meant for people with different tastes is a kind of a visual compromise between different preferences; it embodies the idea of a neutral territory being ready to accept any innovation to its white walls. Today people have different understanding of com- fort: a cold futurist interior is a formula for a perfect shell, where an urban dweller would have enough space for creativity. There is freedom for both the body and inspiration in this aerial environment. The architect has provided the residents with all the possibilities to employ their creative ambitions, creating and cultivating their own family culture. The Alan family plans to decorate the white walls with graphical patterns, but for now they remain white, and symbolize the beauty of «pure» architecture, like the antique temples of Acropolis.

the architect only reflects the philosophy of modern residents of a megalopolis, who feel at ease being in the thick of events, and on the contrary feel like socializing. As to the ecological issues, this snow- white building is a symbol of an unreal dream of regenerating the industrial territories and it creates a contrast with the dirty city streets. The simplicity bordering on minimalism and the whiteness border- ing on sterility are like those in the first films about space ships, where life was hardly possible. Such an image of the house balances the active lifestyle of urban dwellers, and at the same time its appear- ance shows that creative modern people live in it. Mr. Alan’s wife is a graphic designer and illustrator, they have three daughters of different age, each of them belonging to her own culture. This house
