This will be a cooperative effort between the Society (SSACS), the Collegiate Coptic Club of that university (CCC-UCLA), and Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. Reception will be held at the Social Hall of St. Peter and St. Paul Coptic Orthodox Church , located at 1245 Fourth Street, Santa Monica CA, 90404. The time is as specified above. Registration: Registration for this conference can be done by mail, by sending the bottom portion of the attached flyer to the Society's mailing address. Registration can also be done on-line by submitting the form found at the following web address: http://www.stshenouda.com/society/2ccnfreg.htm . Make sure that you fill out the e-mail address box in the form to be successfully sent. Registration will also be available at the door at the beginning

of each conference day. The Society strongly recommends that all will register early to allow us to effectively plan this event. Accommodation: The closest hotel to the campus of UCLA is the Holiday Inn "BRENTWOOD-BEL AIR" 170 North Church Lane LA, CA 90049. Accomodation on campus can be arranged by contacting the Society as soon as possible. Format: The presentations are classified into three types. The first is the opening addresses, arranged at the beginning of each conference day. Each of these will be scheduled for 15 minutes with no discussion follow-up. The second type is the major papers which are mainly slide presentations of Historical, monastic and archeological topics. Each of these papers will be scheduled as a 45-minute presentation with a 15- minute follow-up discussion. The third type is the regular presentations where the researcher briefly presents the work that he/she has or is doing in the field. These presentations will be structured in a 20-minute format with a 10-minute follow-up discussion. The maximum time allotted to these presentations, including the discussion, will be 30 minutes. Publication of Proceedings: The papers presented at the Conference will be published in the 6th volume of the Society's Bulletin for the
