Buxton Board of Appeals 2019/2020 Report

The primary goal of the Board is to act with the best interest of the Town and its citizens. The Board determines whether the decisions made by the Code Enforcement Officer, on matters affected by setback restrictions, height, lot coverage, lot size or setbacks causing undue hardship or unique circumstances not caused by the applicant, or an administrative appeal of the Code Officer’s interpretation of the Ordinance. The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month (on an as needed basis) at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building. All meetings are open to the public. During the January 1, 2019 to December 30, 2019 fiscal year the Board met three times with the following results: Josh Tardiff/Chase Curtis Farms Road Administrative Appeal Denied Custom Home & Finance, Inc. The other two (2) meetings held in 2019 were administrative meetings by the Board to approve min- utes and to see if there were any items that needed to be addressed. The Board of Appeals would like to thank Charlene Libby for her 20 years of service, and Scott Warchol for his 5 years of service.
