The standard residential door hinge is known as a plain bearing hinge. It is two metal halves with a pin that joins the two. There are three styles of hinge corners: Square, 1/4" inch radius, and 5/8" inch radius To determine a 1/4" vs. 5/8" radius hinge, measure from the beginning of the curve to where the corner of the hinge would be if it were a square corner.
