Membership During Q1, the members of the California Dairy Farmers Facebook page grew by 4 percent, going from 427 members to 445. Of the 246 membership requests, only 17 have been approved (7 percent), while 32 percent were either declined (18 total) or blocked (60). There are still 151 pending requests.

Post Engagement While there was a 31 percent drop in the number of posts (31 total) over the previous quarter (50 posts), there was an impressive 42-percent increase in comments on the posts (64 total). The International Women’s Day post on March 8 that highlighted the female leaders on the board garnered 109 reactions with 13 comments – far and away the highest of the quarter. The post announcing Dave Ribiero and JJ Nunes participating in the Land O’ Lakes Farm Bowl had the next highest engagement with 33 reactions and 3 comments on Feb. 1. There were 361 active members, meaning they either viewed, posted, commented or reacted to a post, during Q1. Thursday proved to be the day of the week that led in engagement totals, with on average of 26 interactions (posts, comments or reactions). The weekends drew very little engagement.
