PROCEDURAL RULES CHANGES

By a unanimous vote of the FCIAAO Executive Board the following Event Code of Conduct was added to the FCIAAO Procedural Rules:

Event Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, volunteers and vendors at our annual conference and FCIAAO events are ex- pected to follow this Code of Conduct. FCIAAO will enforce this code throughout the event, including event-related social events at off-site locations as well as related online communities and social media. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe and productive environment for all. The FCIAAO is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including seminars, workshops, parties and other online media. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual atten- tion. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the FCIAAO Executive Board may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund of registration fees or other costs associated with attendance.
