PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE (CONTINUED)

I would like to thank the Honorable Mike Twitty for the welcome to Pinellas County and his wonder- ful assessment video. In each conference location we ask for recommendations of a local charity for our chapter to support. This year, the charity selected was Suncoast Center, Inc. and the chapter was able to donate $786 and toiletries. Great job everyone on your generosity. Greg McHenry is the Vice President of the IAAO International and was with us to provide greetings from the International Board of Directors of IAAO and to assist with the presentation of the Tony Hodge Awards. We will be meeting next year (2020) at the Ft. Lauderdale Marina Hotel, which is a beautiful facility located on the intracoastal waterway. We will be offering some unique excursions at this location, so watch for emails and future announcements. The board will be meeting this summer to work on a long-range strategic plan for the chapter along with our vision for the future. We are excited to bring some new opportunities to the membership for education and involvement. We will also be working on the 2019 TPP Conference in Kissimmee, De- cember 8-13, 2019 and the 2020 Conference in Ft. Lauderdale. Our steering committees are being recruited at this time and that process will be complete within the next 60 days. Please reach out to us if you have any recommendations for people to serve on a com- mittee or topics for tracks. We welcome your correspondence and input.

Finally, mark your calendars for the International Confer- ence in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada, September 8-11, 2019. It will be an event that you will not want to miss. I look forward to serving you as your president for the next year. I want to thank past president Katie Grasso for all of her support and guidance over the past year.
