Lemonades.

— Take 6 lemons and

Milk Lemonade, No. 1.

slice them, and powder over them

1 Seville orange ;

pour on a pint of boiling water

lib. of loaf-sugar ;

let stand for six hours

and a pint of white wine ;

; pour in pint of boiling milk

strain till clear.

; dissolve together juice of 3 lemons ;

milk,

1 pint ; strain through a hair sieve. — To lib. of loaf-sugar add 1 pint of water, 1 gill of lemon-juice, J pint of sherry ; add 1 quart new milk ; stir and strain. Orgeat Lemonade, an Amencan Drink. — Half wineglass orgeat syrup, juice of half a lemon — Boil 12 Jibs, of sugar in 10 gallons of water for 20 minutes; clear with whites of eggs ; bruise 10 oz. of ginger ; boil with the liquor ; add the juice of 10 lemons, and the thin peel of same ; when cold, put into a cask with 2 tablespoonfuls of yeast and J oz. of isinglass. Next day, bung up ; ready in a fort- night. Lemonade. — Pare 6 lemons, 2 Seville and 1 Milk Lemonade, No. 3. (strained) ; fill the tumbler one-third full of shaven ice ; add ingredients ; balance to top with ice ; rub the rim of glass with lemon-peel. Ginger Lemonade.
