Comment As a referral center for airway surgery with more than 2,200 patients already registered in our database, we are faced with a number of patients with PITS every week.

There was no complication relating to corticosteroid use other than 1 patient who had stomach ache, which responded well to proton-pump inhibitor administration. Surgical results for both groups are summarized in Table 7 . Table 4. Demographics and Intubation Characteristics Characteristics
