YOUTH BOWHUNTER Sweetest 16th Ted Nugent Kamp For Kids

With a morning temperature of 53 degrees it felt more like an early fall morning in Iowa than the beginning of a late day in June . 100 kids started to show up just after 7:00am for a day full of outdoor instruction that turned into one of the nicest days in the last 16 years of the Iowa Bowhunt ers sponsored event. Mentored by adult and past TNKFK attendees, the kids received instruction in archery, air rifles, wrist rockets, fishing as well as orienteering, wildlife fun facts and

throwing the Atlatl. Despite the threat of late afternoon thunderstorms we were lucky enough to have all of the kids, volunteers, instructors and all of the equipment safe before the rain began. Thank you to the Iowa Bowhunters Association for the years of unwavering support of this event. We also want to thank our family, friends, countless volunteers, instruc tors, and mentors, who have helped 1,600 kids enjoy this event over the years.
