ASSOCIATE Magazine FBINAA Q2-2026

JASON MOEN Fellow FBINAA Members,
My name is Jason Moen, proud graduate of NA Session 252, and I am seeking the honor of serving as your Section IV Repre sentative on the FBINAA National Board in 2026. Like many of you, my connection to this Association runs deeper than professional affiliation—it is personal. The bond forged at Quantico is unlike anything else in our profession. It is renewed every time we meet someone new and ask a simple question: “What Session?” That shared experience is what makes this organization the strongest law enforcement leadership net work in the world. My service to the Association began at the chapter level, where I had the privilege of serving as President of the New England Chapter in 2020. That experience—working alongside dedicated members and engaging with the National Board— gave me a firsthand look at the commitment required to move this organization forward. It also inspired me to continue serving at the national level. As your Section IV Representative, my focus will be clear: strengthen our membership, enhance our training, and rein force the value of this Association for every member—active and retired. Our Association is only as strong as its membership. Recruit ment, engagement, and retention must remain top priorities. We need to continue building meaningful partnerships and deliver ing high-quality training opportunities that reinforce the FBI National Academy Associates as the premier leadership organi zation in law enforcement. At the same time, we must ensure we are providing value to all members, including our retirees who continue to bring experience, perspective, and strength to this network. I will approach this role guided by three principles that have shaped my career: accountability, consistency, and transparency. Communication with our members and chapters is essential. You deserve leadership that is accessible, responsive, and grounded in the best interests of the Association as a whole.
My career in public safety began in 1995 with the Auburn, Maine Police Department, where I currently serve as chief of police. I have also remained active in the Maine Chiefs of Police Association, recently completing a two-year term as President, and I continue to serve in leadership roles focused on policy development and accreditation. These experiences have reinforced what I believe to be true: strong organizations are built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to service. That is exactly what defines the FBINAA—and it is what I will work to protect and strengthen if elected. I am asking for your support and your vote. It would be an honor to represent Section IV and to serve this Association that has given so much to all of us.
Fraternally,
Jason Moen NA Session 252
