From the Manager ’ s Desk

Hello all and welcome to August’s edition of the Crystal Waters Chronicles.

The Crystal Chronicles is now viewable online at under the heading of “News”. You will be able to view past editions of the Crystal Chronicles. The nurse, who was astounded, asked, 'What good will Viagra do for him, doctor'? The doctor replied, 'It won't do anything for his condition, but it'll keep the sheets off his burnt legs. Peter and the Crystal Crew I’d like to start off this month’s report with a thank you to all the people who contribute to our monthly journals. It is great to see people giving up their time for the benefit of all residents in the Village. However, we are constantly looking for items to put in the magazine to keep it fresh and interesting, so if you have a story you would like to share about a recent holiday you went on, an event you attended, or even a little about yourself, where you lived, what you did, etc. before moving into the Village, we would be keen to hear about it. Don’t worry if you don’t have access to a computer to write it, we will accept items in any format and Julie will be more than willing to convert your stories into the appropriate format for the journal. A big Crystal welcome to our newest residents Kim and Dean who moved into their new home on Site 54. Please say hello and make them feel welcome when you see them around the village. The last week in June saw the first home from Broadworth Homes’ new yard being delivered on Site 126. Weather permitting this will be ready to hand over to us by the end of July. We will also see 64 and 65 delivered during the course of this month. With more on order we will soon fill up all the empty spaces we have in the Village with new homes. By the time you read this the annual Christmas in July function that the Social Club holds will have happened. Judging by the numbers booked to go I’m sure it was a great success and I look forward to reading a few articles on it in next month’s magazine. Finally, to finish my report with a smile (I hope) a risqué story. Bruce went to Bondi Beach He had the esky next to him and had a great time watching the sheilas in their bikinis, but after two six-packs of VB he fell asleep for several hours in the midday sun and got horribly sunburn, specifically to his upper legs. He went to the hospital and was promptly admitted after being diagnosed with second- degree burns. With his skin already starting to blister and the severe pain he was in, the doctor prescribed continuous intravenous feeding with saline, electrolytes, a sedative, and a Viagra pill every four hours.
