Fostering healthy life choices within a child-centered school environment that places a premium on environmental education and conservation of resources.

EVERGREEN ACTS OF GREEN School participates in a variety of environmental projects across all grade level throughout the school year. T hese activities include : Earth Day Grocery Bags Projects : Cost-free environmental awareness project in which students decorate paper grocery bags with environmental messages for Earth Day. Hempstead Stop and Shop sponsors this project. Earth Day Environmental Challenge : Students are being challenged to create a project reusing plastic water bottles. The engineers are presenting the projects during morning assemblies. Earth Day Themed Morning Assembly : School staff members put on a performance for students highlighting the important of being eco-friendly.
