When my mother-in-law Anneli Wahlsten set up Ruskovilla with her husband Mauno Mattsson 38 years ago, their aim was to make clothing without exploiting the land, people or animals. These values have guided Ruskovilla’s operations and decisions since the very beginning. This year marks a quarter of a century - 25 years - that I have worked for the Ruskovilla company. This year we also reached one of our long-standing goals: all of our rawma- terials - including silk wool - are now organic. A large part of the eco-friendliness of clothing lies in its manufacturing method and in sustainable quality. All of our production is carried out by experienced textile industry professionals. We are grateful that our personnel are com- mitted to us and our shared values. Rather than use robots, our very own professionals will continue to manufacture our products at the old Artjärvi dairy, to guarantee our high level of product quality. Our product catalogue for this year has taken inspiration from Finland and Finnish nature. We have pictured our Key Flag products set against autumn colours and blooming summer meadows. We also wanted to explain more about the effect of organic materials on skin’s wellbeing when worn against bare skin. Natural warmth is the best thing we can offer to ourselves and our loved ones. Hopefully you’ll find some favourites in our range. Our dreams came true - all our rawmaterials are now organic
