70/30% organic wool & silk

The warmth of mulesing-free organic wool and the softness of luxuri- ous silk combine in a material that is suitable for use all year round. The material is thin, soft and flexible. Raw material production accounts for e.g. the conservation of natural diversity. In addition, the shared prop- erties of both natural fibres, such as breathability, odour neutralisation, and the ability to absorb moisture without feeling wet, work wonder- fully together. A combination of wool and silk feels calming against the skin. The ma- terial is at its best when used underneath everyday clothing and during light exercise. Those who enjoy spending time at cabins and boating will appreciate the additional warmth in the variable weather during the Finnish spring and autumn. A combination of vigorous exercise and mechanical friction may cause the material to felt prematurely.

100 % organic cotton

Our organic cotton, produced in accordance with GOTS organic stand- ards, is our natural fibre that best withstands wear and washing. It is produced in India, and farming involves e.g. biological pest control, organic fertilisation and hand-picking, and social responsibility for the farming families. People has used this material, created by nature herself, in textiles for at least 8,000 years. Cotton’s smooth structure means that it feels pleasant and breathable against the skin. Organic cotton contains no bleaching agents or other chemicals and is recommended as an un- dergarment material for babies and children with sensitive skin. Its in- sulating properties are not as good as those of wool or silk, so other warming layers can be used with the cotton in cool weather.
