Industry data contained herein and otherwise indicate there is an opportunity for a high quality and efficient hospice care service to capture a profitable share of the Denver market.

The Denver economy is strong and growing. “From 2010 to 2015 the region’s economy was projected to add approximately 20,000 new jobs, averaging 2.5% annual growth.” (State Demography Office).

Strategic Goals The longer term strategic goal for Mother’s Touch is to capitalize on its potential by at least starting the certification process with a proven model in Kansas City, Dallas-Ft Worth and Oklahoma City within three to five years. The vehicle for doing this will be to open new Medicare certified hospice operations on a priority basis market by market. This means at that time a new entity (Such as Mother’s Touch of Kansas City, Inc.) would be established for investment participation differences and market performance reasons. Hospice care service is a relationship business. The best quality care is based on developing in-depth relationships with a large and varied community of related individuals. Hospice experience and the ability to generate trust and cooperation among all the parties involved are critical. Mother’s Touch management has the knowledge and experience to make this a reality. Medicare certification experience is critical. Start up for a Medicare certified (therefore Medicare-paid) hospice is a long and tedious process usually taking a year or longer. Certification is required for Hospice success as nationally 91.3% of the patient care days payment source is Medicare. Hospice Care is considered the model for quality compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness. Mother’s Touch plans to build and deliver a hospice service model that provides expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient’s needs and wishes. Support will also be provided to the patient’s loved ones as requested and required. Hospice care focuses on caring, not curing. In most cases, care is provided in the patient’s home, but may also be provided in nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities. Hospice services will be available to patients with any terminal illness or of any age, religion, or race. Mother’s Touch Hospice care can be provided anywhere the patient considers “home”.
