Case Managers Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office

The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for case managers who will work under general supervision to interview inmates and to organize individual or group counseling sessions as required in the treatment and rehabilitation of assigned individual or groups. The work includes individual and group counseling and the preparation of special project reports on inmates. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: communicating and providing counseling and assisting in developing and implementing treatment and therapeutic programs for assigned inmates/clients; interviewing inmates to assist in establishing a treatment plan and meeting the program goals; evaluating appropriate programming assignment, school programs, mental health services, etc. Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice or a closely related field, along with two (2) years of experience as a counselor in an institution setting preferred; and proof of education, training and/or experience requested.
