Atkore acquires Razor Wire

Atkore International Inc has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Razor Wire International, a manufacturing company specializing in razor wire ranging from 18 inches to 60 inches in diameter. The acquisition will strengthen Atkore’s existing barbed tape product portfolio and market presence in the perimeter security market. “This acquisition enhances our leadership position in a market we perform well in today and that we are focused on for the future,” commented John

Williamson, president and CEO of Atkore International. Razor Wire International uses high technology, custom-built, proprietary equipment to maximize production efficiency and minimize cost. As part of the acquisition, Razor Wire International products will transition to the RazorRibbon ® product offering available through Atkore. All production will transfer to Atkore’s Hebron, Ohio facility.
