Nye Lubricants Inc Nye Lubricants formulates, manufactures, markets and sells synthetic lubricants, thermal coupling compounds and index-matching optical gels. Nye provides lubricant solutions for a range of industries and applications including automotive, aerospace, and appliance wiring harness connectors, as well as supplying curing and thixotropic optical gels for fiber optic mechanical splices and LED applications. Nye services US customers through its regional engineering offices, with representation throughout Europe, South America, Asia, South Africa, Australia and India. OptEM Engineering OptEM Cable Designer is a CAE tool for designing and simulating the performance of copper cables. Hierarchical-design modeling is used where existing design elements are defined as building blocks (instances) in constructing higher level designs. Objects in the cross-section are tagged with object properties such as core material (conductor or dielectric), plating and object name. Each design instance has a unique position, rotation and lay length, which provide realistic twisting parameters for individual pairs, bundles, and cables.

The company´s product range includes halogen-free flame retardant fillers and eco-friendly additives for the plastics industry. Flame retardant fillers are used in cables for use in tunnels, airports, high-rise buildings and electronic devices, while additives replace stabilizers containing heavy metals in PVC processing. Nabaltec also produces base materials for use in technical ceramics, the refractory industry and catalysis. Unlike halogenated flame retardant fillers, the products manufactured by the company´s Functional Fillers division contain no hazardous substances and do not require separate disposal. Rather, in the event of fire, the company´s flame retardant fillers decrease the development of fumes hazardous to human health and the environment.
