Alongside examples of the Reelex “I” and Reelex II ® coils in corrugated box packaging, a new type of Reelex package will debut at IWCS. This next-generation Reelex package is said to offer a slimmer profile, greater payout performance, a more environmentally-friend- ly waste profile and lower material costs than current Reelex and other packaging options. The second packaging system on display is a new concept aimed at shorter (500 feet and under) lengths of cable, and is designed to provide a cost-effective, user-friendly packaging solution for a wide range of products never before packed in Reelex. Reelex ® is a patented method of winding any flexible filamentary material into a precision-wound figure-eight coil. This coil dispenses from the inside-out without twists, tangles, snags or overruns and may be placed into a wide range of containers from cardboard boxes to shrink film to environmentally-sustainable packaging.
