Health Research Capacity Report 2013
New Brunswick Health Research Foundation
Fondation de la recherche en santé du Nouveau-Brunswick
The New Brunswick Health Research Foundation (NBHRF) is one of two foundations operating in New Brunswick funded in part by the provincial government. It is the youngest health research foundation (2008-09) in Canada, as compared to all other provincial health research foundations that are members of the National Association of Provincial Health Research Organizations (NAPHRO). NBHRF is the official health research funding agency in the province whose vision is a healthy and prosperous New Brunswick through excellence in health research and innovation. The foundation's mission – to provide leadership and support to build health research capacity and to improve the health of New Brunswickers and advance the knowledge economy – is now guided by a 5 year Strategic Investment Plan (2013-14 to 2017-18). The Foundation also co-hosts the Annual New Brunswick Health Research Conference on a rotating basis with New Brunswick- based research institutions in Fredericton, Saint John and Moncton. For details on all NBHRF activities please visit www.nbhrf.com.
