Live by James Grayson

I am alive. Please, say that aloud. I. Am. Alive. Through all life has thrown your way, I’m glad you are still here today. Despite all your scars, on your arms and your thighs, the ones you try so desperately to hide, you have made it through. Despite those wounds on your heart, the ones that pain you at the strangest times, the ones which tear you up at just the mention of the name, you have made it through. Say it again. I am alive. I am a wire which has not lost its spark, so handle me with care. I am a survivor. Do not count me among the dead. I am a soldier. Don’t count me among the dead! I am a sailor. Though the ocean has tried, it cannot short out this wire.
