Ulster Rugby v Edinburgh

PETER,18 “I am a massive rugby fan and getting the chance to visit Kingspan Stadium with Include Youth was class. I spoke with a few of the players and it really motivated me to hear them talk about how things can be achieved through hard work and self-belief. Thanks to Include Youth I have recently got a full-time job and for the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to the future.”

INCLUDE YOUTH

KOURTNIE, 20 “Before I started Include Youth, my life was going downhill. I wasn’t really confident or bubbly or talkative, I would just have sat by myself, but I’m now really confident and I interact more with everyone. I have a true group of friends that I can be myself around. If I didn’t have Include Youth I’d probably still be at rock bottom.”

DAVID, 21 “Before Include Youth I went to college, but I really struggled with the size of the classes and didn’t get on with the tutors. At Include Youth I get one-to-one support from the youth workers and tutors and I am actually enjoying studying for my qualifications. I would love to become a firefighter one day.”

KATIE, 17 “Before I started Include Youth I struggled with anxiety. Every day was hard for me and just doing normal stuff was a struggle. I had no confidence and only socialised with two friends I’ve had since primary school. I’ve been with IY for seven months and my confidence has really improved, I have more friends and having a routine has really helped with my anxiety. Include Youth has been the best thing for me.” DAIRINE “I started with the Give and Take programme on a 1:1, they helped to increase my confidence and self-belief. I am now involved in the group programme and currently completing my OCN Level 2 award in Youth Leadership. I am also completing a work placement in a respite unit for young people with learning disabilities and involved in a youth project as a volunteer. I am more hopeful for the future and planning to gain more qualifications which will help me get a job working with young people.”
