Ladies Golfing Society

Mixed Soccer Tournament at Blackhall Place Not all eyes will be on Mexico this June. The Alterna- tive World Cup commenced on 26 May in the august grounds of the Law Society in Blackhall Place. The sponsors of the competition this year are Phelan Gillespie & Company, the Dublin Commercial Property Consultants, intending to reflect the close co-operation between valuation surveyors and solicitors, both on and off the field! Phelan Gillespie are the publishers of "A Tenants Guide to Lease Renewals and Rent Reviews". This tournament, which has forty entries, takes the form of an eleven-a-side mixed football competition with six women and five men on each team. The final, which promises to be one of the major sports and social soirées of the summer season, will be on Saturday, 5 July and the magnificent prize, 'Kings' Cup (after the law stationers) will be presented by the President of the Law Society. •

The 1986 outing will take place to Newlands Golf Club on the 25th July, tee off times: 12 noon - 1.30 pm., 2.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. Refreshments, dinner and presentation afterwards. All donations of prizes are welcome, especially from previous winners. The Annual Subscription is £20.00.
