The problems encountered in negotiating complicated contracts today, particularly those designed for technological, specialist or overseas use, have given rise to the need for considerable expertise. This programme examines some of the current difficulties, legal and other pitfalls, and the opportunities for commercial good sense and objectives to be realised in such negotiations. He has visited many countries and conducted seminars in Manitoba (where he was Visiting Professor) and Amsterdam, and is particularly experienced in training and discussion seminars with groups of professionals experienced in industry and commerce. He has been a regular contributor to the Journal of Business Law, is the author of the book 'Framework and Functions of English Law' and has a consultancy in private international law and international trade.
