Lead by sixteenthyear HeadCoach Richard Cota the Toreros competed in invitationals on the west coast and hosted their own in Balboa Park. Consisting of nine men and fourteen women the Toreros went head to head with some of the best teams in the west. Sophomore Antonio Lopez, a transfer from Notre Dame, lead the way for the Toreros with a second place finish in the WCC and an attempt at the NCAA Regionals. Sopho– more Jennifer Pici was the most consis– tent leader for the Lady Toreros, speed wise, and she, along with freshman Jes– sica Barbera who was injured early in the season, lead the team in spirit. Over– alt the team looks toward next season with goals of building a stronger team.
