First Season San Diego State University (1993)

John Ross begins his first year as Sue Snyder's top assistant. A San Diego State alumnus (Public Administration, 1993), Ross was a four-year letter winner (1989-93). Named the 1991 team MVP after leading the Aztecs to a national ranking of 5th, John finished 3rd in the nation in hitting percentage and 7th in block assists. He went on to captain the South Team at the 1991 U.S. Olympic Festival to Gold. His coaching experience includes stints with the 18-1 Asics

Pacific VBC (1994 & 1995); girls varsity assistant at West Hills High School (1994); and girls freshman coach at Helix High School (1993). While prepping at Chatsworth HS in the San Fernando Valley, John earned three letters in volleyball and two in basketball .

MIKE HALLOWELL!! FIRST SEASON Mike begins his first year on Coach Snyder's staff as a volunteer. In his second year of studies at Grossmont College, Mike coached assistant varsity boys volleyball and was head JV coach this past year at West Hills HS. He was assistant girls volleyball coach there in 1994. He also assisted John Ross with the 18-1 Asics VBC team this past summer. A 1994 graduate of West Hills, Mike lettered two years in varsity volleyball and garnered First Team All League (G rossmont Conference) honors.
