As you know, our Education Manager Jim Price has retired and, while he will be greatly missed, the education depart- ment is very excited about many offerings that are in the store in the coming months. Updated editions of Industrial Refrigera- tion II and Basic Electricity II will be on the shelves before the end of Quarter 1. We have tried to improve the readability of these titles and fix some minor typos. These books are ideal for those operators getting ready to take their CIRO Certifica- tion. Education and writing committees are also putting the finishing touches on our new Energy Efficiency handbook. But wait! There’s more! Writing committees are hard at work on an updated Controls book as well as updated Basic Electricity I. Another new book coming in 2019 will be the PSM Compliance Course which will be the precursor for a new PSM certification credential. But what we are most excited about is our NEW CO2 Refrigeration Study Course. For this book RETA has partnered with the North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC). This is an

introductory course with topics includ- ing Properties of CO2, types of CO2 systems, system components, installa- tion and maintenance. As you can see, 2019 is shaping up to be a very good year for all of you knowl- edge hounds out there. As these new releases make it to the store, we will let you know. These new titles will also be available in online training approximate- ly one month after hard copies are in the store. Don’t forget RETA membership has its benefits!
