Hello Oregon Wine Experience® Volunteer!
We are so grateful that you have committed to volunteer at Oregon Wine Experience®, supporting the Children’s Miracle Network and other Asante Foundation healthcare programs. This event wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers.
What You Need to Know
WHERE – All Events are held at Historic Bigham Knoll Campus in Jacksonville (525 East E Street). Please allow ample time to find parking and walk into the event space to begin your shift at your designated time. PARKING – Please park at Jacksonville Elementary, 655 Hueners Lane. Parking lots surrounding the Bigham Knoll Campus buildings are dedicated to our guests. MEET – Sharon Young or Gigi Ashley , our on‐site Volunteer Coordinators in the Volunteer Tent. They will provide your shirt (if not already acquired at the Volunteer Orientation) and wristband, direct you to your tasks, and answer your questions. DRESS CODE – Please wear white, khaki, grey or black bottoms, shorts/skirt should surpass fingertips when hands are at your sides. Comfortable walking shoes are a must – this event is held on an un‐level grass field. No cargo pants, distressed/ torn jeans, athletic shorts or short shorts please. Wear your volunteer logo shirt and wristband for each shift that you participate in. For general set‐up shifts, and non‐event day shifts, volunteers are welcome to wear more casual shorts or pants with the volunteer logo shirt. Closed toe shoes are requested for wine stewards, food runners, heavy lifters and anyone doing physical tasks. If you have an OWE logo Navy polo shirt, PLEASE wear this for your shift. ALCOHOL – Consumption of alcoholic beverages during a volunteer shift is not permitted. You must be a ticketed guest to attend an event after your volunteer shift.
