September News  About the Sumner Senior Center Welcome to the Sumner Senior Center. The activities and services of the Center are available to anyone 55 years of age and older. If you are looking for a Senior Center that offers positive changes, wonderful instructors, social interaction and personal training, then our Center is the place for you. Here at the Sumner Senior Center we take pride in assisting you with all the best possible resources we can. We offer an array of different activities and amenities that we think will benefit you not only today, but down the road. Please feel free to inquire about any of the resources that we are currently offering. We wel- come your suggestions. Trips this month include: Lucky Eagle Casino on the 10th, Puyallup Fair on the 17th, Red Wind on the 24th, NW Trek –Eatonville on the 30th. Sign up in the activities book. Please note, Rite Aid will be here 9/2 to give you your flu shots. Come and learn how about how to save on your Medicare cost with SHI- BA on 9/2. AARP driver Safety refresher course will be held on the11 tth . Don’t forget we serve brunch on the second Friday of each month at 10:30. Our Second Time Around rummage sale was a success due to the many volunteers. Thank you for your participation and contribution to the success. Please join your local police department, Safe Street and Pierce County Aging & Disability in a conversation about home and personal safety on 9/17 at the Center. Come out and join us for a Western Party on 9/22! Wear your cowboy gear and plan on lunch, goodies and prizes for the best dressed. Live Country Western Music by Mark Stern.
