The greatest development of charging stations and connection points can be observed in the most advanced economies, where most electric and hybrid vehicles are operated at the same time. There is also more rapid increase in the number of high-speed charging stations whose installation is very expensive compared to standard charging stations. Tesla is also an important builder of high-speed charging stations in Europe called Tesla Supercharger, which ensure the possibility to travel by Tesla cars across European countries. Only Tesla vehicles can be recharged at these charging stations. Large economies such as France and Germany are among the most advanced countries in terms of charging stations and connection points. Benelux states such as Belgium and the Netherlands also offer the large number of charging stations. Traditionally, the high number of stations is in the Nordic countries such as Norway and Sweden, where there is strong support for electric and hybrid vehicles and environmental protection is there very discussed and monitored topic. In CEE region, Austria offers the highest number charging stations, followed by Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia as shows Figure 2. Taking a closer look at the number of modern high-speed charging stations, the situation is slightly different. Most of them are again in Austria, followed by the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland, as it is apparent from Figure 3. These data are valid for the beginning of the year 2020.
