impacts that leads to system-wide benefits (Ekener et al., 2018). Environmental impact assessment of various types of passenger cars are often based only on impact factors associated with vehicle operation, including fuel consumption, dust and gas emission not impact of the full life cycle of a vehicle. LCA method enables such analysis taking into account the life cycle from cradle to grave. Application of integration of LCA with and multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) in environmental decision making was shown in many publications (Macioł et al., 2018; Bauer et al., 2015; Domingues et al., 2015; Kiker et al., 2005). Girbula et al. (2012) used a MCDA for selecting the materials of an automotive component in an electric car. Case studies of LCA and MCDA in the automotive sector include: studies on biofuels (Perimenis et al., 2011), alternative fuels (Rogers and Seage 2009, Mohamadabadi et al., 2009, Zhou et al., 2007) and a comparison of various vehicles (Domingues et al., 2015). Environmental decision- making using life cycle impact assessment and multicriteria decision analysis for alternative transportation fuels was presented by Rogers et al., (2009), Mohamadabadi et al., (2009), Prado-Lopez et al., (2014) and Tan et al. (2004). In these research were used MCDA methods like: Preference Ranking Organization METHod for Enrichment of Evaluations (PROMETHEE), Stochastic Multi- Attribute Analysis for Life-Cycle Impact Assessment (SMAA-LCIA) and ELECTRE TRI. 1.2 Methods and criteria for automotive sustainability assessment Sustainability means that products and systems are considered from the perspective of all the sustainable development aspects – environmental, economic and social in whole life cycle. Criteria for automotive sustainability assessment was selected from the literature.
