PROJECT DESCRIPTION In 1997, 52 acres was permitted for municipal solid waste (MSW) disposal in Phase III of the White Street Landfill. Closure activities must begin for any portion of the MSW landfill unit no later than no later than one year after the most recent receipt of wastes, if the unit has remaining capacity. An estimated 21 acres will require closure before FY 22/23.
