Oral hearings The attention of the Council was drawn to a circular issued by the Department of Local Govern ment outlining the procedure in planning appeals. It appears from the circular that the policy of the Department is to discourage appellants from engag ing legal representation. The Council directed that a letter be written to the Department asking that the circular should be withdrawn. A copy of the letter is printed in this issue of the GAZETTE. Disciplinary inquiry.
