YOUR SENIOR YEAR STEPS TO ADMISSION AUGUST ∙ Apply online (Priority Deadline: December 1st to be eligible for most scholarships) ∙ Set up your UW-Stout email account (must have this set up to receive housing and orientation info) OCTOBER ∙ Stout University Foundation Scholarship application opens ∙ Complete FAFSA using FAFSA School Code: 003915 (Priority Deadline: February 15th for need-based scholarships) FEBRUARY ∙ Stout University Foundation Scholarship application deadline (first Monday in February) ∙ Complete housing contract (Deadline: March 1st for priority room selection) ∙ Registration for UW Placement Testing opens MARCH ∙ Sign up for First-Year Registration and Orientation ∙ Complete housing and dining questionnaire ∙ MN residents register for reciprocity JUNE ∙ Submit final high school transcripts to UW-Stout Admissions ∙ Check email for room selection process and time ∙ Attend First-Year Registration and Orientation AUGUST ∙ Receive move-in instructions via Stout email ∙ Review fall billing information ∙ If taking out student loan(s), sign Master Promissory Note ∙ If you plan to bring a vehicle to campus, purchase a parking permit SEPTEMBER ∙ Move into your residence hall, make friends, and have a blast during Week One Orientation ∙ Classes begin ∙ Review financial aid award letter ∙ Sign Student Account Contract

GRADE POINT AVERAGE: Applicants must maintain a high level of achievement in challenging coursework. TRENDS IN GRADES: The pattern of grades over time is important and an increasingly strong academic record can improve the likelihood of admission. CLASS RANK: Class rank will be considered (if available). ACT/SAT TEST SCORES: UW-Stout has extended being test optional to the 2024 2025 academic year. Students will not be required to submit test scores as part of the application process but may choose to submit test scores if they would like.
