Planter Interview Questions

Evangel Deans are expected to interview all church plant team leaders prior to their acceptance as candidates at an Evangel School of Urban Church Planting. Acceptance of candidates is at the Dean’s discretion. However, the following questions may be helpful to consider.

1. How did you come to know Christ, what is your current relationship with him like?

2. When did you last lead someone to Christ? What has your experience with evangelism been like?

3. Tell me of your experiences in discipleship.

4. When did you first sense God’s call to plant a church?

5. How does your spouse and family feel about God’s call on your life to plant a church?

6. Does your pastor support your calling to plant a new church?

7. A Dean may also choose to ask questions based on the Evangel Church Planter Assessment Form categories of Character, Competence, Community, and Calling as outlined below.
