IV. Execute Projects: Do your priorities with all your might. What specific projects will you execute to accomplish your priorities this year?

Nehemiah and his team engage the construction until the wall is done, Neh. 4.6-14 .

A. Definition

1. Executing projects involves coordinating resources (e.g., people, technologies, facilities, funds) according to specific desired qualifications and outcomes toward a specific time frame or deadline.

2. Resources + specifications + time frames = project management (the constraints of cost, quality, and time)

B. Elements

1. Propose it!

a. What you want to accomplish – be absolutely specific.

b. Objectives: What are the key objectives you hope to achieve by hosting the event, creating the resource, or putting on the production?

c. Due dates: When must it be done?

d. Team members (project manager, team members, support team)

e. Draft budget

f. Lay out steps to complete project (back-of-the-napkin type of thing – not thorough, just main/key points).

g. Receive approval: Get buy-in from your stakeholders (leaders) to ensure authorization (authority to act) and support (resources).
