2. Do a situation analysis (Sit-rep) and act

a. Get the latest and best intel on the situation. (Get the whole picture, with good, latest data.)

b. Analyze the info’s weight and meaning. (Weigh the information for importance, relevance; look for patterns in the bits you collect.)

c. Draft possible plans of attack. (Think of “scenarios” and “options”; run simulations: use the whiteboard.)

d. Decide your next course of action.

e. Assign fresh team roles based on new course.
