• It involves all we are and own; it is not a matter of money alone. • It reflects the heart of God’s nature as creator, owner, sustainer, and consummator of all things. • It reveals the level of spiritual vision we have as sojourners and pilgrims in this “already/not yet” kingdom dimension.

I. God Is Maker, Sustainer, and Ultimate Telos of All Things; He Alone Is the Owner and Purpose of the Universe.

Ps. 24.1-2 (NASB) – The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, [2] for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. 1 Chron. 29.11-12 (NASB) – Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. [12] Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

Ps. 50.12 (NASB) – If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine.

A. All things were created by God, all things are sustained by him, and all things exist for his ultimate praise and glory.

B. From a biblical perspective, ownership is singular concept: all things belong to him.

C. All things are answerable to him.

Implication: Because God is our owner, we ought not ever think of ministry in terms of our own efforts or energy. From A to Z, all that takes place in our lives is superintended by God as Source and End of all things that affect us.
