AUGUST 2018 SUMMER EDITION

JANUARY 2017 AUGUST SUMMER EDITION

A PUBLICATION ABOUT LIFE AT FRENCHMAN’S CREEK BY, FOR AND ABOUT OUR MEMBERS

The Homefront column is designed to inform our members where in the community our new residents are living and other residences they may have. It also keeps up with our present members who have stayed in the community but moved to new dwellings. Of course we always wish our members who are moving out of the community good luck wherever their travels take them and our new members and established members good luck in their new address.

This month we welcome the following members:

Bill and Sandra R. Glassman who bought Denny and Marty Siegel’s home on Le Bateau Lane. They also reside in St. Louis, Missouri.

Stephen and Esther Gordon who bought Selma LeVine’s house on Rivoli Drive. They also reside in Newton Centre, Massachusetts.

John Bauman and Sherry Norris who bought Barbara Baron’s house on Rivoli Drive. They also reside in New York, NY.

A New Program “ Wine Down Wednesdays” at the Sports Bar from 6PM - 9PM

BETH ELGORT and a few other members saw Darrell Gwinn perform at an event and thought he was very talented and that he would bring great fun and entertainment to Frenchman's Creek. So she worked with management and before you know it, there’s a weekly Wednesday event at the Sports Bar with live music entertainment. It's perfect for a light, casual, and fun night with friends and family. Check out the program for your great listening pleasure—dancing is encouraged! About the Artist: Darrell Gwinn is an unrefined gem. Rhythmically charged with emotional power, his expression is unbridled. Fueled by the musical influences of George Benson, Marvin Gaye and Seal, as well as the lyrical finesse of Stevie Wonder, Darrell has, without exception, fused these influences exquisitely. Son of an army Sergeant, Darrell's young world was constantly changing. His life involved a lot of traveling. He was drawn to music from the early age of 3 when his mother found him playing melodies on a piano by himself. He started singing in key with songs his parents grew up with. Darrell was brought up in a musical family. His talent and ability came from a great family life. His parents saw his talent and they supported him with the instruments he needed to get started, and he made payments to pay them back with his jobs and gigs. Darrell’s main instrument is the bass guitar.
