Eurofins Central Analytical Laboratories, Metairie, LA 2013-2011 Manager, Method Development and Validation • Responsible for the development and validation of all new testing methodologies as well as improvement of established methods in the effort to produce the most reliable analytical results with the lowest possible limits of analyte detection to meet customer needs. • Validated methods for the detection of specific adulterants in food products for the inclusion in ISO 17025 accreditation scope. • Served as scientific review officer to ensure ongoing data quality, scientific validity of analytical testing methods and reliability of results reported to customers. Monsanto, St. Louis, MO 2011-2008 Molecular Breeding Technology Strategy and Operations Lead • Responsible for operation of marker discovery, genome controlled recombination, seed chipping, fingerprinting and high throughput genotyping laboratories with teams located in St. Louis, MO, Ankeny, IA, Woodland, CA, and Campinas, Brazil. • Accountable for creation of long range plan, budget (+$40M) and capital management ($10M annually), ongoing EBIT forecasting, KPI development, safety leadership, production planning, strategic initiatives, process improvements and overall business strategy across the multiple sites. • Team is currently ramping up production, so challenges lie in growing infrastructure needs, communication across the teams and securing the base in terms of meeting customer needs. Team consists of approximately 100 members. • Direct manager of Forecasting and Planning team (4 team members). Recently implemented new forecasting submission process, enabling increase in laboratory peak capacity by 25% through improved management of samples across sites and extending hours of operation. Monsanto, St. Louis, MO 2008-2006 Biotechnology Quality Manager • Responsible for development, implementation and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Biotechnology organization. • Successfully increased ISO 9001:2000 certification scope for Genomics organization
