• Implemented laboratory key process indicators (KPIs) to monitor improvement in operations and rolled out Lean Manufacturing. • Six Sigma Green Belt and also site lead for biotechnology community outreach and site educational efforts. Accountable for both ISO and cGMP compliance and related audits. Served as liaison between production and the QA/QC laboratory, responsible for customer support, method development and standard method documentation as required. Also, supervising chemist for the Process Improvement Team, the laboratory’s analytical research group, which provides method development support to all production areas on site, including Roundup  , ACL  , CYA, APAP and GI. Successfully implemented new analytical methodology during this time which resulted in cost savings of +$200k annually. Served as a key member of product development and process improvement interdisciplinary teams and as an analytical contact for customer support. Also responsible for supervision of junior chemists. University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 1994-1990 Research Assistant J.D. Winefordner, advisor • Conducted research on the laser excited atomic fluorescence of solution residues in a glow discharge atom source; achieved detection limits in the femtogram to attogram range for Pb, Eu, Tm and Y and confirmed these results through theoretical modeling of system; responsible for the design of the project and supervision of two undergraduate students.
