RESEARCH FIELD

Pingping Zhou is currently engaged in food safety research, with a strong focus on the research

on the risk assessment of food contamination for human health, with a special emphasis on

Pesticides, food processing process pollutants and Environmental organic pollutants. She is also

conducting development of food contamination monitoring and control technology. Previously

she was engaged in research on the development of the technology of safety evaluation of

genetically modified organisms in food, especially the technology of genechip. So far she has

played a leading role or participate in many scientific and technological projects, including a

series of national key scientific and technological projects, projects sponsored by China's National

Natural Science fund, “863 projects”, “973 projects”, and key scientific research projects

sponsored by the State Department of Science & Technology, the achievements of many of which

have been granted an award by the Chinese government. In addition, she has published 10 books

and more than 20 papers, nearly 10 of which being SCI papers.
