JUNIOR (2005): Essential part of the USO bullpen... made more relief ap– pearances (13) than any otherTorero left-hander... Struck out the side in one inning of work vs. UC Davis (2-18-05)... matched a season-high with three K's working two-plus scoreless innings against San Diego State (3-12-05) .. pitched a season-high two and two thirds innings twice, first during a 7-6 USO win over Pepperdine (4-16-05) and three days later in a mid-week start at Cal State Northridge (4-19-05)... held opponents scoreless in nine of his 14 appearances on the year. HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE: Torrey Pines High School graduate... Went on to play at San Diego's Mesa College... Left-handed pitcher that threw a no-hitter during his prep career at Torrey Pines... Posted a 1.98 ERA during a First Team All-Palomar League season as a senior... Excellent student- athlete, twice earning all-academic honors at TPHS... SOPHOMORE (2005): Played in and started in 50 games ... was second on the team in hitting with a .338 batting average, third on the team in doubles with 14, third on the team in RBI with 93 and led the team in hits with 73 ... re- corded 24 multi hit games ... went 4-for-6 with six RBI and two runs scored against Santa Clara (4/9/05)... went 3-for-4 with two RBI , one double and one run scored against UC Riverside (2/4/05)... went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored against Cal State Northridge (4/19/05) ... earned a AII-WCC honorable mention selection . FRESHMAN (2004): Outstanding as a true freshman , hitting .342 and driv– ing in 40 runs... Honored as an All-West Coast Conference player... Huge part of San Diego's 35-win season... Played and started in 55 of USD's 56 games... Registered 24 multi-hit games... Stole a team-leading 14 bases in 15 attempts.. Ranked 7th in the WCC in runs scored (47), 8th in hits (77) and 4th in stolen bases (14)... Enjoyed a 3-hit game on 10 different occasions, which was a team-high... Hit safely in his first five collegiate games... Went on a nine-game hitting streak in March... Posted a season-high four hits at St. Mary's (3-29-04), going 4-for-5 with a double and a pair of runs scored .. Doubled in three straight contests in late April. .. Had 11 RBIs in USD's last five games of the season... Swiped three bases vs. Portland (4-23-04) .. Went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles at LMU (3-7-04)... His 14-of-15 stolen bases ranks as one of the best stolen base percentages in USD's single-season history. HIGH SCHOOL: Named the Hawaiian State Baseball Player of the Year as a prep senior...
