Get Your Pretense On!

support, and stand true in the face of betrayals, injuries, and shortages. Some way or other, he always seems to complete the mission and finish the operation, as well as to “get the girl,” and restore his status as the first among all British elite agents. He knows how to represent England, and get the job done. The other spy in film that has intrigued me for some time is Ethan Hunt, the head of the Impossible Mission Force. Tom Cruise plays the hard-hitting Ethan Hunt, and has appeared in all five films, and is set to resume the next one later in 2018. The created fictional background of the Ethan Hunt character is vintage Hollywood imagination! Ethan Hunt was raised on a dairy farm in Middlefield, New York, graduated Airborne Training, and was recruited by the CIA into an ultra-secret agency called the Impossible Mission Force. The IMF is the most unique, unconventional “black ops” group ever created, a group so elite that they are allowed to operate with virtually no mandated or neatly outlined procedures or protocols to fulfill their top secret missions. They can do whatever they as a team deem necessary in order to “get the job done,” with the proviso that if Ethan Hunt or his team is caught or killed, the Secretary overseeing the IMF will disavow any knowledge of them or their operations. If they are captured or killed, they will be “hung out to dry,” without recourse to country or authority. To put it simply – the IMF team is the best trained and resourced squad on the planet to do the most dangerous black ops jobs anywhere, and are given unlimited resources to get the jobs done, together. Ethan Hunt is the point man of the team. Now, what do James Bond and Ethan Hunt have to do with getting our pretense on or playing our role in the Kingdom Story of Almighty God?
