THE FIRST new building on the University of San Diego campus in nearly two decades is t only a home for the president and his family, but a hospitality and entertainment center. Before 1971 when Dr. Author Hughes, Jr. 'was named first lay president, there was no need for such a center. The priests who had served as president before him were accom- modated in campus apart- ments.
